Shameless Self-Promotion Thread

I figured we could all use a place to plug our stuff, right?

My band, Last Tide, will be performing with another forum member's band (Kadman) at the Velvet Lounge in DC on July 9th. I don't know if we have any other DC-area folks on this board, but this ought to be a pretty good show if you're in the area.

Re: Shameless Self-Promotion Thread

There's a brand new video for one of my songs. Feel free to comment if you like it. The style is quite unexpected, it was made without using a camera, but rather with a scanner.

Re: Shameless Self-Promotion Thread

I just finished mixing an EP this afternoon with Justin Moyer (SPRCSS, Supersystem) with my band Last Tide. It's not mastered yet, but if you wanna check out the "preview" versions (soft masters I did myself), please take a listen on our Myspace. Little something for everyone, I like to think.

Re: Shameless Self-Promotion Thread

yo !

well, i've been making some stuff under the following moniker: The View Electrical

www.myspace.com/theviewelectrical

... do you guys think it's a good name ? of course, it's been taken from "blue orchids"... i super like the combination of these words, in this particular order and i don't think it's an extremely shocking english mistake, isn't it ? please, let me know. i've got other songs to finish, so now, everything must be considered as "work in progress", sketches of songs - of course, as long as i can work on them, from time to time, when my job & studies let me some break for making music, in a good & positive creating way... :-D

anyway, i'd love to know if the name & music sound nice together. sometimes poppy, sometimes ambient but also weird americana psycho, or something like that, guess you'll hear later...

thanks for letting me know !
cheers from sunny lausanne, switzerland !

Re: Shameless Self-Promotion Thread

Really atmospheric music just perfect to chillax to,
you must live in a beautiful place,
I think the name goes perfectly with it, deep pretentious but not , cannot wait to hear more….

Who can pretend that there's a beginning and not an end
It ain't contrived, all the magic in our lives
Come down like a storm. then drizzles, then dies.

Re: Shameless Self-Promotion Thread

used to be in a band called elmo red (i guess we should thank john hughes for that name!). anyway, we played for a couple of years, finally made an album, and then broke up a few months later. fittingly, we named the album "the end"... smile

Re: Shameless Self-Promotion Thread

My band Honeychurch has been compared (by magazines like The Big Takeover and No Depression etc) to RHP, Neil Young, Low, Mojave 3 and Nick Drake:

We're on Amazon.com, too:

I've a new digital single out on the fine lo-fi-friendly site CLLCT. It's called WALDO.

You can download it for free here.
