Re: Jesu

I have huge respect for Justin Broadrick. I like Head of David (they´re around again) and I really like Jesu. The problem I have is that there is actually only one Jesu song that is repeated and repeated and repeated. Everything sounds exactly the same. It gets a little tiresome. But so what...the Ramones, Manowar, Sun Kil Moon. All the great bands repeat themselves over and over. big_smile

The Jesu cover of The Cure´s The Funeral Party really touches me so much that I get close to crying.

Definitely not crap!

Re: Jesu

Jesu are amazing.  The first time I heard them was Conqueror from Conqueror (what a record) on a friends super high tech sound system (from what I've heard Justin Broadrick designs the music to be at it's most potent on fancy schmancy hi-fis). It was like suddenly being chest deep in cold water. My friend described them as a heavy metal Sigur Ros. I likened to and industrial RHP. I was stoked to hear JB was a RHP fan and that Caldo Verde would be releasing some Jesu. I was pretty surprised that he was a fan though, I originally thought the similarities were just coincidental.

Re: Jesu

Friends Are Evil is my favorite Jesu song, but I like all the Jesu that I've heard.
