Third and Seneca

I amended the header to this thread, I apologize if anyone has opened it expecting to see the tab.

Anyone, know of a link to this tab at all? I have searched but to no avail... I'm a decent player, but I just don't have the ear for alot of Marks stuff :-(

Yeah, Pierre managed to spot it as well as yourself. There's probably a few here and there  on other tabs that I've missed, so if you ever spot any just let me know and I'll sort them out.

Great tab, I'm in the frame of time right now when this song is all I play.

But I just listened to the two versions of this song back to back, and as far as I can tell, they're almost identical (a few lines sung slightly differently, the last line is cut off in the alternate, and perhaps the alternate is a half step down or something)...  Anyone getting the same slightly disappointing thing?

(P.S.-- Next stop: Australian Winter!)

first off hello to all i read this forum all the time but have never actually posted anything up....

to my surprise (great work mathequation btw, great youtube vids smile )i can actually get around alot of the admiral guitar tab, and am loving actually playing the spanish guitar that's been gathering dust in the corner of my room smile but i'm struggling with the trill style he plays all over the album, i kind of play my own version of it but know it's not quite right. i think i just need to know the fingering he uses - is it lust each finger trliled in sequence?  i presume the bass notes are played with the thumb but i struggle with the top string (this case D) fingering. just wondered if someone could shed some light on it, sure if i watched the videos enough i'd suss it, but it sounds very natural the way he plays it.

NOTE: For the second part, I don't think it's exactly what he plays; it doesn't seem like the trill lines up exactly with the bass line on the album, but this version is as workable as I can get it.
But I think that might be a more accurate, or more helpful, notation of what he actually does (with the high string always trilled, and the other strings played by the thumb).  I think he trills by doing ring-middle-index for the first part, then pinky-ring-middle-index for the second part, both really quickly; it's key to make sure the 3/4 rhythm of the other strings is not interrupted by the trill (i.e. waiting for the trill to end before it continues).  It also helps to have nails (which is unfortunate, because mine all just broke last week...).  It took me a while to get the hang of the trill thing, especially with the pinky, and sometimes it can be hit or miss, so I'm still working on it.

Really, thanks for the prompt reply and simplified info smile This is exactly what I am after, I really appreciate your effort. Once I work out the basics I think I know how to embilish it (well a bit!) , I just want to know the exact fingerstyle then I can take it from there.

Not to be a Poindexter but these aren't trills but tremolos (even though on other instruments the term would refer to something different). You must alternate the "bass" notes played with the thumb (T) with a rapid repetition of a higher note played (in this case) with the ring-middle-index fingers (R - M - I ). Maybe Koz uses his pinky but that's highly unusual for a classical guitar player (not for flamenco guitar players though).

So I'd have to properly check but I think it goes like this:
