Is there any place where you can listen to songs from this album? I haven't found any sites yet.

You'd swear it's a painter you're on about.
He should do his job, bass.

Heirlooms of August - Andrew and Emma lyrics:

I talk to your picture
When I'm here at night alone
When the darkness and the cold autumn wind
seem to be my only friends
Then your star strikes me like a pile of coal
strung and wild and juvenile
With your little smile
soft as the rain
You ease my dear brother's pain
Andrew
How my heart's in disarray
But you take it all away
If only for a little while
Andrew
Your sweet sister how she clings to me
Tenderness I can't deny
And it stirs my pride when her little arms
Are reaching up for me
When the moon is hanging over my back yard
Shrouded by the cotton clouds
Still the glow comes pouring
Through my window
And I have to step outside
To think of
Emma
I get lost in your blue eyes
And how they mesmerize me
If only for a little while
Emma
Emma
Emma
Emma

From caldoverderecords.com:
Forever the Moon
Release Date: June 21, 2011
Track 1: Andrew and Emma (listen)
This debut album features 10 songs written by Jerry Vessel, formerly of Red House Painters and recently a touring member of Sun Kil Moon. After residing in San Francisco for a number of years, Vessel returned to California's San Joaquin Valley to find a new home in a familiar place. Inspired by the rural surroundings in which he now lives, Vessel found the time and solitude to reflect and write, the result being Heirlooms of August's Forever the Moon.

Dude, fix your fucking face.

He has a nice voice I'm pleasantly surprised. I don't know who plays the guitar but he's quite alright.

3 actually. There's Vessel, Phil Carney and Gorden Mack. Mack's the worst I think, really bad music. As I said I'm pleasantly surprised by his voice, I wonder why it was Koutsos whose voice is not terrific who sang the backing vocals during live shows. The song's a bit too country for me, a bit banal but he's go a nice voice.

Can you ever leave anything be ?

I think that this is really a beautiful track even better than "Andrew and Emma" with sublime female vocals. Can't wait to get my greasy mitts on it when it's released.

Answer is no.

Phil Carney is a session and tour musician. He appears on only one RHP record, has that dawned on any of ye?

If you have your own personal meter that you use to measure what one band member must do to become part of the band in question, and if someone has to fill a certain quota in your own world, let it stand for yourself. Do not try to sound like it's official facts as he was in the band and a Painter. Nuff said.

Has anyone heard Heirlooms of August "Forever the Moon" yet?  If so, what do you think?  I saw it's available on iTunes and Amazon as mp3's but not at Caldo Verde - hmmm....
