Desertshore - Drawing of Threes - Album Discussion

Thought I would start a proper thread since the Drawing of Threes content is kind of scattered around right now.

For me, this is some really solid material and so different from what we have come to expect from Mark. I am completely drawn to it, but with conflicted feelings. I have grown to love Marks music so much that I actually feel weird listening to music that is, for the most part, not Mark.

If I were to complain about anything it would be the track sequence and the length of the album. I have dealt with both. After downloading from itunes, I resequenced the tracks and added a couple of Koz tracks that didn't really have a proper home for me to really be exposed to them on a regular basis. The result is really bliss for me. This drawing of Threes material is a real breath of fresh air. It is almost, dare I say it, grown up, adult like. Ok, I'll say it....it sounds adult comtemporary.

My track sequence for the disc I burned for my daily commute is as follows-

Pollen Hinges
Mercy
Turtle Pond
Light Flowers
Vernon Forrest
Hellborg
Randy Quaid
Diana
Matchlight Arcana
Molle

w/ Bonus tracks
78 seconds in August
Lights of Magdala
Void - Live in Copenhagen 2011

Do we have any updated info on the vinyl release? Is there someone from CV that we can contact with regards to that?

Re: Desertshore - Drawing of Threes - Album Discussion

I emailed 11spot a few weeks back and have just got a response today;

Hey Jake,

I apologize for the delayed response, but unfortunately I do not have any info on the new Desertshore being released on the store.

Thank you,

Nick

I am guessing this might  have something to do with how poorly aural exploits handled the Jesu - Ascension vinyl?taking money for pre-orders and never delivering.

I don't want to have to do this living. I just walk around. I want to be swept off my feet, you know? I want my children to have magical powers. I am prepared for amazing things to happen. I can handle it.

No idea, I've always used Caldo Verde direct, 11spot do the dispatch for CV as you probably know.

Like anything else that has been released in the last couple of years, if you are dying to hear it and are waiting for the vinyl version.... How long is a piece of string?

Would 11spot have that info, or would we need to get in touch directly with someone from CV?
