Re: Best records of 2010

Even though I won't be as prolix as doggie dinner in stating my dislike of the unsufferable angular art rock and crass faux-eighties music that occupy rock charts and the airwaves these days, I will say I've only bought four new records this year. And I've heard some songs by Beach House. So I'm not too savvy I guess but I can comment on those :

SKM's AFP was a very good record that is worth coming back to it and that reveals its wonders overtime.

Grinderman : Cave and his men are becoming better as a band, and he's turning into a very bad lyricist imo.

Bonnie Billy's new output was OK : beautiful but a little tiring I thought. I'll have to listen to it again.

The Divine Comedy made a very honest record of well written and clever pop songs.

As concerts go, Kurt Wagner and Cortney Tidwell were great onstage with their new outfit Kort. Good concert.

you reckon that's more concise? Didn't you write a sortof ''do they know it's xmas'' ditty before, i forgot to slate you on that one pal, you got away with it, where's the other Pierre these days?
you're patient enough to read the posts yah

I reckon it's not. You got me there you clever man.

And why would you slate me ? The song was just daft and ended on "and now let's all just mate like we're animals !" It was an unusual Christmas song that meant no harm.
