It's a new Low !

And it's a new high for LOW !

I had heard two songs on the radio and was impressed so I just bought the record. I don't listen to new records -in general- that much but this is one of their best release imo.

And I don't usually listen to music loud but this record compels you to turn up the volume.

Has anyone else got their hands on it ?

Re: It's a new Low !

Yeah I love it. Been a fan since their first album and watched them grow musically. I've seen them live probably more than any other band.

I was really disappointed with the production of Drums & Guns. The stereo separation really killed the album for me.

But this album is great.. Especially Me is their strongest song in years, and Nightingale is gorgeous.

I'm not sure to what extent you're taking the piss here, but no I don't think it could be described as such...

Yeah Lament, I had only heard a few tracks of their last two records and they didn't seem so good. This one is top-notch. And coincidentally I'm listening to Especially Me as I'm reading your post. Good song. I prefer Witches, and Nothing But Heart could make me cry I think...

And DD, there's nothing wrong with referencing The Fall. They're a landmark of some sort ! Of some land at least...

Excellent record and so is the 5 track acoustic CD that accompanied it

Can't wait to see them again in London in a couple of months

Re: It's a new Low !

diggin' the new album.

it has an immediate/direct vibe, & sums up Low's expansive sonic palate rather well.

love some of the grittier guitar tones.

glad to hear more of Mimi's vocals on this release too.
