Re: Shameless Self-Promotion Thread

hey -  not sure how many of you out there read The Big Takeover, but my band's current album is #4 in editor Jack Rabid's Top 40 new records.  It's streaming free here if you want to listen:

honeychurch.bandcamp.com

tracks # 9 and 10 are a good match if you like Mark's stuff, I think.  Thanks.

Re: Shameless Self-Promotion Thread

So... Shameless... I started making music again after some time off. Here's a few new ones and a few old. If you look around you'll also find my cover of RHP's "Golden". Best, Richard (racingpaperplanes).

So, if anyone is interested my band jsut recorded some decent live practice recordings. I write most of the songs and play Pedal Steel guitar, and regular guitar. My band mate played guitar and sings.

My favourite song is Feral Eyes!!!!!

There's a brand new video for one of my songs. Feel free to comment if you like it. The style is quite unexpected, it was made without using a camera, but rather with a scanner.

I like Pimplesong, Pierre...you should take all your tracks and go to master them...i think they deserve it!

Just released a new solo album. I am highly influenced by the cure, echo and the bunnymen, chameleons, verve, red house painters/mark kozelek/sun kil moon, cocteau twins, etc. I have tons of releases on bandcamp, and am relatively unknown...

Check it out if you're in the mood for something new and crazy.
If you like it, there's SO MANY more albums you can listen to all for free, and for sale if you wish to own it.

Thank you all!

Give Me Your Best Shot is really a great shot! I would use it for a movie!

Thank you with all sincerity Pierre2. You're a unique voice on the forum.

That video is very helpful. I am inspired. I understand completely why you've linked it.

I'm utterly convinced by what I must do.

Thank you dd, I wish you the best, in Ireland or wherever life takes you.
I will continue from time to time to read what's written here and in the next place,
not necessarily for Kozelek related stuff, also for things that people have to say
about all sorts of topics, music or whatever. I hope Mr Kozelek realizes how lucky he is to
have so many fans who make their own music (some of them are really not bad at all).
I don't believe there are that many artists with a discussion board dedicated to them which is a
civilized place, where people don't insult each other, are knowledgeable, post guitar tabs (that's some work!), etc.
This kind of place is rare on the internet. I hope Mr Kozelek realizes that.
Now that's really the last post from me.
Good bye.

PS: I still think you should try to write something Stephen, you have an original voice
